Dutch artists Lernert & Sander have created this wonderfully made video showing what it would look like to wear a whole year’s worth of makeup at once. Model Hannelore Knuts had 365 layers of makeup applied to her face over the course of 9 hours. So, how much makeup makes up a year’s worth? Seven bottles of foundation, two bottles of blush, three lip glosses, and two bottles of cream eyeshadow.

This is Make Up For Ever’s new ad for their HD Invisible Cover Foundation. So, what’s so special about this add? Well, it’s completely unretouched. What you see is the original photo, at least, according to Make Up For Ever.
I think it’s pretty cool that they’re actually showing you what they’re product would do. Although, you have to acknowledge that the model is young, probably has fairly nice skin in the first place, has experts applying her makeup, and the shoot’s lighting can go a long way. But, still, kudos to them for eliminating photoshop!
What do you think about the unretouched ad?
